What Is 7v7 Football?

7-on-7 football is a non-contact, passing-focused format that helps young athletes build football IQ, route running, coverage skills, timing, confidence, and teamwork without full-contact tackling.

How The Format Works

Teams compete with seven players on each side. Offenses focus on passing concepts, timing, route spacing, and decision-making. Defenses work on coverage, communication, leverage, and reading the quarterback. Because the format removes line play and tackling, practices can focus heavily on skill development and football understanding.

Why Families Choose It

Many families use 7v7 as a development bridge between flag football, tackle football, school football, and offseason training. Athletes get competitive reps while parents get a format that emphasizes speed, discipline, spacing, and decision making.
